I am so glad I engaged Davis Deck and Fence for my rather difficult and extensive deck restoration project. It was a very good move because, as I discovered, Quinn Davis is a true craftsman of the old school, part of a dying breed, and he did an amazing job on my dilapidated deck at a price that was more than fair. I’ll give you an example: Quinn had built into his quote a time allowance for sanding and re-staining in place the numerous verticals of the deck railings. But it turned out that he couldn’t get at every nook and cranny of the verticals with them in place, and, though I was quite happy with the way they were coming out, Quinn wasn’t; he therefore proceeded to completely dismantle the railings in order to get at those inaccessible, barely visible parts that would otherwise be missed. This took a lot longer than Quinn had bargained for, but he wouldn’t hear of accepting an extra penny for the extra time. That’s what I mean by a true craftsman of the old school: someone who cares far more about the quality of his work than the size of his paycheck, who is intent on producing work he can be proud of, not a bank balance he can brag about. He can certainly brag about the quality of my deck: heck, even I brag about it, and I had virtually nothing to do with it other than footing the very reasonable bill!" |
I am so impressed with the before & after of our deck, it’s like a brand new living space in our backyard. Quinn did an AMAZING job, with his attention to detail and hard work ethic, he transformed our deck into something I didn’t know was possible with what we had..... We were told we had to rip up the entire deck and rebuild it so we put the project aside. We have about 1,200 sqft of deck to deal with so this wasn’t a small project. We had to have a section of deck repaired and the contractor recommended Quinn, saying he would know how to treat it and if anyone would know the remedy, he would..... I highly recommend Quinn and his business, he has been so wonderful to work with, explaining the details and process along the way. Thank you Quinn for giving us our deck back! "

Quinn went the extra mile to breathe new life into our old, ragged deck. We were looking for a quick, clean fix in advance of putting our house on the market that didn't involve a full demo and a rebuild. He was responsive and clear about the process and what to expect. After a mix up with the stain finish for the second coat (Home Depot's fault of course!) he came back to do touch ups to ensure the deck was as perfect as we could get it.
