How often should I restore my deck or fence?
Ideally, you should aim for every 1-3 years for horizontal surfaces and 2-4 years for verticals. This is the best schedule to make sure the wood is always protected and looking beautiful. When properly maintained, the lifespan of the wood can at least double. Some decks and fences may last upwards of 30 years.
What Stain do you recommend?
The stain we usually recommend is called Ready-Seal. It is a semi-transparent stain/sealant that penetrates into the wood and protects it from UV rays and other elements. It will seal the wood from moisture, and keep dirt/grime out of the wood. The stain looks natural, tinting the wood and preventing graying. There is a color wheel that can be seen at the top of this page. The darker the color chosen, the more UV protection you will get. Ready-Seal will fade in color over 3-4 years depending on conditions and wear/tear, and the protective qualities will last for about 4-5 years.
Will the process hurt my grass, plants, or surroundings?
Nope. For most cleanings, we utilize an environmentally friendly, non-toxic cleaner. For difficult jobs that require strips, I simply pre-rinse and post-rinse the surroundings to ensure all plants, grass, etc are kept safe. Being clean and safe is an absolute priority!
Do you sand the decks also?
We sure do. It often times is the best way to beautify the deck!
How long Until i can use the deck after staining?
You should stay off the deck or away from the fence for 48 hours following the staining. This will allow adequate time for the stain to settle properly. Please turn your sprinklers off for this time period as well, if they are in range of the wood!
Do you repair decks or fences?
We do not currently provide these services ourselves, but have fantastic recommendations for you. Just ask!
How long are you booked for?
This is an ever-changing answer as schedules are tentative according to weather and other obstacles. Please reach out about your project in particular for a specific answer.
How long will it take to clean and stain my deck/fence?
Most projects take a day or two for cleaning, and a day or two for staining. Sanding can add several days depending on the scope.
do you provide a warranty for your work?
We are absolutely committed to customer satisfaction. Ready-Seal comes with a one-year warranty for hail and peeling. If you ever have any other issues, we will do our  best to take care of them.
My fence is pretty new, do I even need to have it cleaned?
New wood should be cleaned to remove any UV damage or wood glaze. In order to know the stain will perform as it should, we must be confident the wood was cleaned correctly.
Do I need to clear my deck of furniture and other items?
Please remove furniture and other items from the deck before we come to clean it. This helps the process move much quicker, and removes the liability involved with us moving your possessions. If you cannot move the items for any reason, we would be happy to help. Please try to warn us in advance so that we may budget extra time to do so!
